Review
This is official description
Burn4Free is a free program that can burn CD, DVD and BLU RAY disks. It can burn data and audio disks. The explorer integration lets you start the burn process by right clicking on a folder. SCSI, IDE, and USB devices are supported. The program can handle ISO files.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 4.9
Burn4Free is a free CD and DVD burning application. With it, you can burn files or folders to CD or DVD media. It should support most DVD burners and it can also burn your ISO disc images. Audio CDs can also be made, and there is support for burning to rewritable media (even erase).
Graphically, the application is kind of messy. There are too many icons laying around the screen. Some of those icons take you to websites to get other applications. In other words, there are ads inside your app. I find that very annoying. The user interface shows a compilation screen where your files go after you add them. At the bottom of the screen there are four bars that represent the space left available for compilations. These bars show you how much data, audio, mp3s, etc, you can fit into an audio CD, a data/MP3 CD, a DVD, or a DL DVD. A black bar shows you how much space you have used in the current compilation.
Burn4Free allows drag and drop in a very intuitive and innovating way. When you tell it to, it minimizes the main window and launches a small window that acts as a "drop zone". You drag your files there and they automatically get added to the compilation. |
