Burn4Free is a simple and lightweight application that allows you to create data and audio CD/DVD/Blu-ray discs. You can also use the program to burn disc image ISO files or to create new images from existing discs.
Burn4Free is compatible with most disc-burning devices available, and the language of its user interface can be changed among 37 options.
The program's visual design, however, leaves a lot to be desired. It is fairly messy, uncolored and little attractive. But even worst, it is full of advertising icons, buttons, and menu commands whose only purpose is forwarding you to the download pages of several other software tools.
The program's main window allows you to type the volume name and select the burning drive and speed. You can also select whether to close the resulting disc or not (in case you are burning a data disc), and you can use the program to erase re-writable discs as well.
Burn4Free provides you with 4 methods to add source files to your compilation ─ drag and drop files, copy and paste files, add files dialog, and a "fly window" mode, that creates an always-on-top area where you can also drag source files. Finally, the program also offers you an information panel where all the occurring events are listed with their exact times.
All in all, if you simply want to burn a data CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc or and audio CD for free, I would probably recommend you to give Burn4Free a try. However, you will need to be willing to put up with a large amount of advertising.
